Barcode Scanning for Assets

Hello,

Firstly, I'd like to know what the best method would be to actually use barcodes to scan assets enabling auditors to scan an asset on a mobile device and launch a direct link / web-page on to that specific asset?

Secondly, has anyone managed to implement a system like this using the CMDBuild software?

if your goal is to open a web browser showing CMDBuild's UI, I must say that there is no way. Otherwise if you want just to show Asset's informations, not from CMDBuild's UI, the standard way is to use a  call to a SOAP web service, but you must write your own UI.
