BIMServer installation

Hello Team,

Can you please provide a description which BIMServer to install and how it should be installed/configured to be compatible with CMDBuild.  I read the documentation, but couldn't find a installation description for BIMServer like e.g. alfresco or shark.

Please add chapter to "Technical Manual" and explain here.

The BIM server used by CMDBuild / openMAINT is BIMserver ( http://bimserver.org/ ).

You can find a brief description of the interaction between CMDBuild / openMAINT and BIMserver on the Appendix of the openMAINT Overview Manual ( http://www.openmaint.org/en/documentation/manual ).
We will include this page on the next CMDBuild Technical Manual version.

I know this is an old thread but the only reference I can find to what version of BimServer should we use with CMDBuild is another thread that refers that the supported version is 1.2. Besides that, no other reference can be found on the documentation.
 
I can't find a downloadable package for version 1.2 (http://bimserver.org/download/) I wonder if currently the support remains on version 1.2 and if it is will it be applicable for version 2.4 of CMDBuild.
 
By "supported" do you mean that you know that it works with 1.2 and don't know about more recent versions or do you mean it only works currently with 1.2.

By "supported" we mean that we know it works with 1.2 and don't know about the compatibility with more recent versions. Since CMDBuild integrates a lot of different components we do not do the upgrades at every version of the external components, but only once in a while.
