CMDBuild as a repository of Archimate models

Hi everyone!

We are two group of people, one from the University of Bologna and the other from SIAE (The Italian society of authors and editors): we would like to share our experience about the integration of Archi, an opensource Archimate editor with CMDBuild.

In the last months, without knowing each other, we developed, two plugin to import and export Archimate models from Archi to our CMDB. The main goal of our projects was to maintain in sync the CMDB with the Archimate models and to use the CMDB as a repository for the models.

Now we are developing a new plugin to merge the functionalities of our projects and we are likely to publish it in the next mounts.

The new plugin will implement those features:

* Import of Archimate elements and diagrams from CMDBuild

* Export of Archimate elements and diagrams to CMDBuild

* Update of existing diagrams from CMDBuild with chromatic identification of deleted elements

* Configurable Model to Model mapping, to map from/to CMDB metamodel to/from Archimate metamodel

* Interaction with CMDBuild through the CMDBf interface (the plugin should work with any CMDBf compliant CMDB)

Other ideas and contributions are welcome.

hi luca, I want to add concepts to ArchiMate , so I found as a solution to develop a plugin and deploy it in archimate,

this solution is feasible on ArchiMate? archimate is an extensible language?
thanks to answer me
