Yes, this is possible just like in the old implementation of the graph.
You need to set according to your needs the parameter
"Threshold for clustering nodes" in the Administrator Manual (page Configuration = Relations graph), relating the maximum number of distinct nodes which can be shown in relation to another node (beside this limit, they are shown as a single different node).
