Hi everyone I was just wondering if I could get some advice please.
Over the last few weeks I have set up a server running CMDBUILD, created the required classes, look up lists domains etc and have imported a bulk of data in.
I now need to run some basic reports on it with the most important one being the total value of the equipment.
CMDBUILD states "Simple tabular report can be generated by a wizard inside the system" but dosent give any instructions as to where to find this wizard or how to use it.
When logged in as administrative mode I only get the option for Jasper reports and when logged in as Data management mode all i get under reports is an empty folder,
Any advice on this would be brilliant as im at a loss.
Thanks for your time.
Steve
You can obtain basic reports from the standard GUI, in a generic card management grid / form, using the buttons "Print (PDF / CSV)" and "Print card (PDF / CSV)".
I suggest you refer to the User Manual. These functions are described on pag 12 (Grid Management) and page 19 (Card List).
The most complete solution, however, is to design the reports with IReport (JasperReports project), import them in CMDBuild and put them in the menu using the CMDBuild Administration Module, run them by the CMDBuild Management Module.

Thanks for your reply.
I was aware of the Print (pdf/csv) option but this simply prints the data shown.
Is there anyway I could run a basic report in this instance adding the sum of the cost column to retrieve a total cost figure from within the standard GUI or would I need to use IReport (an aplication I have no knowledge off) to prerform this task?
Thank you again for your time in helping me with this.

Only usign IReport and importing then in CMDBuild the output jrxml file.
it is a tool easy to use and there is a lot of documentation on the net.
