Hi,

Maybe I missed this somehow, but is it possible to send some kind of welcome message to a newly created user or let a user reset the password via a "passwort reset/forgot" link?

As admin I am not allowed to know or set user passwords. Even if I ask them to change the password ... you know how often the original password is kept :)

No, it’s not possible.
Normally, the administrator sets a temporary password and then the user modifies it at the first login from the Utility menu.
Or you can configure CMDBuild to check the password directly on the corporate LDAP (CMDBuild Technical Manual page 38).
