Sorry if this is obvious to everyone else, but could someone give a better explanation of how to use the tools available in external-connectors-1.4.0.zip to export from an OCSInventory to CMDBuild
I'm using OCSInventory 2.1RC1 and CMDBuild 2.1 Both applications are running on CentOS 6 x64 (6u2 and 6u3 respectively).
I've not found the English readme very helpful and I don't read Italian, but it looks like it's getting an XML export from OCSInventory and then reforming that to the equivalent entries in CMDBuild, which might have to be constructed.
I did track down a python script to export OCSInventory to OTR - and that seems very straightforward. Just struggling with CMDBuild.
I want to use OCSInventory to get the computer information and then to do a regular update of CMDBuild - or even to use an agent to put the info directly into CMDBuild's database. The alternative script I have exports a csv file, so an alternative would be to regularly update (overwrite/create) entries in CMDBuild.
Any other good alternatives for export from OCSInventory and automatic import into the CMDBuild database would be ok.
Keep it Simple for me!
Thanks
We are preparing a new manual dedicated to the use of the connectors.
The ConnectorsManual will be released with the next CMDBuild major version 2.2 because some of the functions described in the manual (Connector Wizard, Task Manager) will be available only from that version.
We can privately send you a draft of the new manual, in which is better described the use of the Basic Connector for OCS Inventory.

Hello technoteca,
We are testing cmdbuild for our organisation. We need a connection with ocs or some tool like that. At this moment we cannot get this connection to work.
Do you have a release date for the 2.2 release? And can you send us the new manual?
If we like it en take it in production we can discuss support.

I would very much appreciate that new manual too. I'll be continuing to advance in my project and the external connectors are going to appear rather sooner than later on my
my to-do list.
A projected release date wou
ld also be appreciated, but since i'm in the software business myself, i can understand the reluctance to share that information
The CMDBuild version 2.2 will be released next month (first half of June).
We’ve just sent to you privately a draft of the new Connectors Manual that will be released with 2.2 CMDBuild.

Good day Team,
I'm currently working on a project and needs to intergrade OCS Inventory tool into the CMDbuild, can you please email me the manual that describes how to complete this.
Thank you
