Will it be possible to update cmdbuild2.5.1 running on an existing system to cmdbuild3 or does it require a complete reinstallation of openmaint?
A complete reinstallation of the application is not required.
As with the previous updates, an automatic mechanism for the application of system table modification patches will be available.
It should however be considered that all the "IDs" of the data cards have been changed from "integer" to "big integer", so if you have written some custom database functions you will have to check the type of variables used.
