Please add 'cidr' Datatype

Hi,

PostgreSQL supports the cidr datatype just as it supports inet. Can I add the cidr datatype to the frontend through configuration or does that have to happen through code changes? 

I'd love to add Networks to my CMDBuild instance and create relations or matchlists of networks to IPs. The other option (of course) would be to add each and everyone of our IPs to a class and add relations once an IP is assigned to a host/server/service.

Dear Andreas,
 
we have taken note of your suggestion: the addition of a type such as "Network". We think that this can be interesting and useful for the management of the CMDB. At this time we cannot say when we'll going to do it, it could be for the first quarter of 2014.
