Problem with "Room is placed in building"

Dear CMDBuild team,

I have a problem that occurs in both my installation and online demo installation (openMAINT).

I wonder if the particular behavior I see is a problem or an intended feature.

 

Specifically, in the "Room" class, I see two possible Relations entitled "is placed in (Building)".

What is the difference between them? Do we really need both of them?

If I remove one of these domains would there be a problem?

Hi Dimitris,

the duplicate relation is actually a feature. The two relations are used for different purposes: one for saying that a room is an inventory item of a building and the other one for saying that a room belongs to a building as a spatial structure.

Unfortunately at the moment is not possible to hide one of them. You could try and disable the domain BuildingItem for the Room class, but this will have some impacts on some of the features of the application.
