As the card saves the ID of lookup type value in the database record, how to search lookup values by the general users in data management module.

Hello,

the use of lookup data type is described in the Administrator Manual regarding the attribute creation (page 21), in the User Manual regarding the attribute use through the CMDBuild GUI and in the Webservice Manual regarding the attribute use through webservices (pages 12 and 15).

Thank you for your answers.

I have read the manuals you recommended. I mean, if you want to list all computers of "Acer" brand in your Demo, you input "Acer" in the quick search textbox, then it will not find out the right results because the Brand is Lookup Value, and the record just save IDs instead of brand value.

I'm sorry, I did not understand the problem you had reported to us.

What you describe is a known bug introduced in the version 2.1.

We have already fixed the error and we will release in ten days the version 2.1.4 which will include the correction.
