Searching a Reference attribute 2.4.1

Hi - We have recently upgraded to 2.4.1 and have found that when you select a reference field you get a drop down list of data, even if you type part of the name it doesn't search and you have to manually scroll through the list to find the required value.

Is this a configurable issue\feature as previously you could start typing and it would narrow the list down from what has been typed.

I have attached a screen shot to have a look at.

Thank you for your report.
We were already aware of this bug and is already been fixed for version 2.4.2 which will be released in mid-October.
