Setting Default Values

The title says it all, is there a way to set default values for fields and/or expression/calculated fields for cards?

I would like to set my Code field to equal a concatenation of 2 other fields, I would also like to set the default value for a lookup field. I tried entering the lookup reference number from the lookup table as the default value in the database end using pgAdmin but new records were showing an empty value.

Is there away to do this?

Yes this is possible, but right now just creating triggers in the Postgres database.
This limitation will be overcome in the 3.0 version we are working on.
