Nagios has a nice feature called "host notes" or "host actions". In the web-gui you can make buttons pointing to links of your choice, using macros such as %HOSTNAME%.
Is it a good idea to make something similar in Cmdbuild, maybe implemented in the standard CI views and search results as a widget or similar. Pointing to http://some.nice.url/directory/%CI-CODE%/whatever
That way, we can easily use other tools from within Cmdbuild. Maybe there is already a way to do this, in case I apologize for the noise
